Oh please, how can you honestly expect me to believe there is NOTHING you’ll miss about it?

What about that guy with one tooth who sits out by Fisherman’s Wharf and thinks he knows how to play the guitar and smells like he has never showered a day in his life?

Oh, and what about that really pale wannabe hippy girl with the bright red hair and fat face who struts around Haight/Ashbury with her nasty white belly hanging out from under her see-thru shirt that shows off her fat, nasty boobs and nipple rings?? Or her boyfriend who looks like he OD’d on heroin one too many times?

You aren’t going to miss any of it??

    Pffft.

    I really toiled at it.

I think number seven sounds painful.

    You should try number nine.

You aren’t going to miss any of it??

You’ve really nailed the flavor. Mostly my time here has just been an extended bad experience I’m anxious to move on from, like a bad relationship you stay in, hoping it will get better, but it never does. I have made some very good friends here though, and I’ll miss them a lot.

The only thing you are going to miss about San Francisco is a ‘Share This’ icon?

    Incredible.

I misspent much of my youth in San Fran, I don’t miss it either.

Well, except those Rastafarian guys I hung out with that one weekend, they were soooo damn cool. :)

I’m so sorry that I missed you being sick. No, that didn’t come out right. I’m sorry I missed telling you “I’m sorry that you’re sick”…lol Well, I am. So I see you are moving and you have a very long list of reasons to stay. I’m sorry that this move is apparently going to be so difficult for you. ;)

Really…I hope things are going well for you. :0)

The only thing you are going to miss about San Francisco is a ‘Share This’ icon?

This post was inspired by a Samuel Beckett play called Breath. The duration of the play is specified to be 25 seconds. When the curtain opens, there is a mostly bare stage with some rubbish strewn about, and the sound of a baby’s cry. Then there’s some breathing sounds and flashing lights, then a second baby’s cry.

    The end.

When this long-awaited show opened, all the people that paid $50+/ticket were like, WTF??!! That was kind of my own reaction when I started asking myself why I was still here, so I thought the homage fitting.

    Yeah, like that.

I hope things are going well for you

Thx DD, just time for a new chapter.

Really? Here in Baltimore I’m dreaming of moving there… I was there for a week when I was fifteen, and I’ve been thinking of returning one day. I see from the comments that I might be wrong. I had no idea…

Unless the people who live there and like it are too busy having sex to read this post and make positive comments.

In Baltimore no one has sex. And the temperature is always too cold or too hot.

Yeah, I used my own copy of that one as a template.

Sounds like any place would be better than Baltimore. For a California city, it’s always too cold here for me. I don’t remember a day I haven’t had to layer, but I’ve been spoiled by the year-round beautiful weather of L.A. Only Hawaii can compare, I understand (in the states at least).

Also, people here think it’s the shit, but I don’t get it. To each their own. To be fair, I did have an enjoyable visit once before I moved here—a young and in love kinda thing, but I should’ve left it at that.

I’ve been to SF a time or two–haven’t been back. Your list about sums up what I miss about it too. Nowhere else have I seen a larger concentration of bums and hippies. Nothing like a never ending, permanent Woodstock. Ugh.

Yeah, the homeless population is unreal. San Francisco has one of the best social services programs in the country. While this is good on one hand, because these programs are so bad elsewhere, the homeless flock here from all over. It’s like Mecca.
